Knowsley Hall is one of Britain’s finest stately homes which has been in the ownership of the Stanley family, the Earls of Derby for over six centuries. It is now home to the 19th Earl & Countess of Derby and situated within 2,500 acres of stunning private parkland in the Northwest. We have been welcoming royalty, presidents, prime ministers and distinguished guests since we first opened our doors in 1495 and it’s this heritage that makes our venue rather special. As a private home, Knowsley Hall offers a unique experience, providing exclusivity of both the stately home and its gardens. This ensures complete privacy and security for a range of events, including conferences, board meetings, awards dinners, charity balls, product launches, weddings, and even as a filming location.

The venue boasts a selection of exquisite rooms, ranging from the opulence of the State Dining Room and Stucco Ballroom to the intimate ambiance of the Walnut Drawing Room. With access to the manicured lawns, lakes, and wider estate Knowsley Hall is the perfect venue to host a special event.
The 17 individually designed bedrooms by The Countess of Derby are luxuriously furnished to the highest standards for your comfort and enjoyment and offer stunning views across the parkland and in the distance, the Liverpool skyline. From your initial contact to your departure, we extend a quality of service to match the exquisite decor of the building to ensure your stay is relaxing and all your needs are taken care of. We have an in-house catering team who specialise in food of the highest quality and can cater to your unique requirements.
Conveniently located near Liverpool and Manchester city centres, Knowsley Hall provides easy access to premier attractions, including top-notch golf courses, premier league football, rugby league and union clubs, and the renowned Knowsley Safari, Merseyside's largest visitor attraction housing over 700 animals.
