JNF UK is the oldest Israel charity in the UK, world-famous for our Blue Box charity tins and helping to make the desert bloom by planting thousands of trees.

Our early supporters used their donations to achieve an impossible dream: the establishment of a Jewish state in our ancient homeland.

We are incredibly proud of our history. The story of JNF UK is the story of Israel – and the story of the British Jewish community’s support for Israel. But we cannot be complacent.

Today, the population of Israel is just under 9 million. With the fastest growth rate in the developed world, that figure is increasing rapidly. By 2048 it is set to hit 15 million. Immigration to Israel continues to rise, increasing demand for decent services and living conditions.

If all these new Israelis are to not just survive but thrive, then urgent action is required. JNF UK is at the forefront of taking that action, transforming the deserts into the new heart of the country. Our projects provide education, healthcare, employment, culture and more.

The plan is as ambitious as it is vital. Israelis should be just as able to start a family in Yerucham as in Jerusalem, just as able to build a career in Mitzpe Ramon as in Tel Aviv. It might seem like another impossible dream – but with your help, we can make that dream a reality.
