J&D Cowper Limited was established in 1984 specialising in the collection and distribution of Ambient, chilled and frozen food products, and we continue to do so today along with providing Tassc approved bulker and curtain general haulage.

We have successfully grown from a small organisation to become one of the significant BRCGS accredited refrigeration haulage companies in Scotland.

Continuous growth means J&D Cowper currently operate a fleet of 24 trucks and 40 trailers which are replaced on a constantly rolling three-year basis.

Over the years, we have developed a transport operation to and from the Highlands, which provides a vital link in the delivery chain taking goods from processing factories in the Highlands to regional distribution centres throughout the UK.

On return legs, we deliver produce to supermarket stores throughout Scotland for various customers – including some of the largest retailers in the UK food industry.

Having close to now having 40 years in the haulage industry our family business has decades of experience having been challenged time and again dealing with adverse weather conditons and hard to reach delivery points, we always we have found a way to get the job done.

Our managing director and company founder Taylor Cowper instilled in his two sons Michael and Iain who both are now leading the company the commitment, determination and drive needed to provide the best possible service in all conditions.
