ABEL are an electrical engineering and manufacturing company providing power, control and automation solutions for a wide range of industries both in the UK and worldwide.

We have extensive engineering and project management experience delivered by a team of highly skilled electrical engineers, managers and software integrators. We are well regarded for our capabilities to take customers ideas and requirements and convert them into robust, efficient, cost effective solutions.

We supply into many different industries, working with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and direct with End users:

OEMs
Solutions include PLC Automation Panels, Control Panels, Switchgear, MCCs (Motor Control Centres), Distribution Transformers and Containerisation of Equipment. In most cases we work from initial concepts when OEMs are quoting their clients, offering combined visits to generate a solution based specification and quotation. Combined with customers’ Functional Design Specifications and concept drawings, we generate a ‘complete package’ detailed design, which is utilised to procure, manufacture and test the equipment prior to delivery, installation and commissioning, as well as the provision of after sales support.

End Users
Solutions include power and controls upgrades and additions, obsolescence replacement, enhancement and streamlining of process control, networking, off site internet based access, operator training in programming and preventative maintenance. Projects generally start with a visit to observe the operation of any existing equipment, along with a detailed discussion on requirements. We work closely with our customers (and their new machine builders if necessary), to provide the optimum solution ensuring minimum production downtime. Projects include build, installation and commissioning, followed by operator training to ensure a thorough understanding of use, and offsite internet linked support to diagnose and rectify problems in future operations.
