Please note this is an Inside IR35, 6 month contract (with possible extensions) that is onsite 5 days per week in Central London.


Insight Global is looking for a Voice Engineer to join a large financial institution for a 6-month ongoing contract located in London.

The candidate will be sitting within the Core Engineering business unit but more specifically within the Digital Workplace and Voice Engineering team.

The voice engineering team manages a wide array of voice related products which are used by every employee in the firm, these include Cisco, Zoom and teams.

That said, the chosen candidate will be responsible for the design, setup, implementation, support and troubleshooting of microphone and voice controls within the organisations environment.

Additionally, the candidate will be a part of managing the product lifecycles for voice platforms and provide escalation support and advance troubleshooting of critical issues on voice platforms as well as be a part of analysing production outage trends and recommend long-term product fixes.

The chosen candidate will be exposed to upgrading to new systems, deployment of voice products in new buildings, identifying technical risk within the systems, security controls, cyber threat etc.


Qualifications:


  • Experience in design, deployment, and support of voice platforms.
  • Experience with MS Teams Meetings, and MS Teams Phone.
  • Hands-on experience on Cisco voice products including Call Manager, Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, Voice ISR Gateway etc.
  • Experience with Cloud Telephony PBX (Zoom/Teams)
  • Experience in engineering, deployment and support of large scale, multisite voice communication systems.
  • Ability to clearly document deployment designs and related management and support procedure

  • Ability to analyse production data in order to spot anomalies in configurations or logs .
  • Capable of automating repetitive tasks in a production environment.
  • Experience with Networking, Security and VMware.
  • Experience with Cloud Migration - SIP, SBC, AWS
  • Experience on various enterprise voice products such as Asterisk IP-PBX, Audio Conferencing bridges
  • Experience on Telecom Carriers management
  • Understanding of Voice Integration APIs
  • Thorough understanding of the voice communication concepts and protocols - SIP, SDP, TDM/PSTN
