A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work at Banff Tyre Services as a Vehicle Technician. We are looking for a qualified Mechanic to join our workshop. We are a small family based company with 6 staff. You would be joining a busy independent garage with a good reputation within the area. We work on all car makes and models. We do class 4 and 7 MOT's, Services; fault finding and repairs; Air Conditioning recharges, re-builds, timing belts and all other repairs and servicing.Do you have what it takes to work as part of a highly skilled and motivated team whose main aim is to provide an exemplary service to our customers.?As our Vehicle Technician, you will ensure all our customer vehicles are prepared safely and in accordance with company and manufacturer guidelines.The Role as a Vehicle Technician involves: * Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a consistent high standard, in line with Manufacturer standards and safe & legal requirements * Detect and diagnose any additional faults for repair * Large jobs such a clutch rebuild and some engine rebuilds * Road test all vehicles to ensure quality of work * Ensure job cards are completed accurately in line with company and manufacturer requirements * Maintain and check equipment and tools regularly to ensure they meet required standards.Skills & experience as a Vehicle Technician we know will help you succeed in this role: * Fully qualified Vehicle Technician/Mechanic * 4 or more years’ experience working in the motor trade * Previous experience in a small garage environment as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic * Great customer service is essential skill. * Good attention to detail while working under time pressures * Proven track record of carrying out work to consistent high standards and deadlines. * Competently follow written and spoken instructions * Relevant formal qualification is a minimum requirement for this role * Full UK Driving licenceIf you’ve got it as a Vehicle Technician, we want it and in return you will benefit from us: * Competitive salary based on your experience. * On the job training and support * Specialist technical training as required * Annual salary review based on your performance: bonuses are available. * 5 weeks holiday per year, full time, (35days including local holidays) increasing with length of service * Group contributory pension scheme * Discounted parts for your individual car repairsWorking Hours as a Vehicle Technician are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5p.m. Friday 8.am – 4pm – 40 hours per week.
