Unqualified Cover TeacherRate of pay: £100 – £120 per day, depending on prior experienceTeaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit strong individuals to work as a supply teacher within a local Secondary School in the new academic year.

This is a great opportunity with the chance of progressing to a daily rate of £120 per shift.

The school has a busy set of supply needs and require daily support in covering teachers off on courses, training, or general sickness.

You will be expected to cover a teacher’s rota for the entire day, maintaining a good quality of classroom control and making sure the pre-prepared work is delivered out and completed to the best of your ability.

Some of your other responsibilities will include:-          Supervising registration classes, and making sure absences are noted in the morning -          Familiarise yourself with the school’s internal IT systems -          Ensure completed class work is returned to the appropriate party -          Report any incidents of safeguarding to the DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead)-          Attend morning meetings about the day’s agendaWhile the position does NOT require a PGCE or Teaching Qualification, the successful applicant will need to have one or more of the following:-          Prior experience in a coaching/mentoring capacity, whether as a private/familial tutor, sports coach or other relevant experiences-          Good behavioural management skills – this could be from prior work as a Teaching Assistant, Care Worker with challenging behaviours, or prior work as a Social Worker, to name a few examples-          An understanding of additional learning needs and the neurodiverse (ADHD, Autism etc.

)-          GCSEs in Maths/English to at least a C grade.

-          The ability to drive is preferred for this role, as it will involve commuting on times to Pembroke and Haverfordwest.

Other Benefits:-          Minimum rate of pay at £100 per day, with scope for more experienced staff to go up to £120 per day.
