Transport Planning Administrator


Menzies Distribution are looking for an enthusiastic Transport Planning Administrator to support our Central Planning Team located in Coalville, reporting to the Planning Centre Manager.

Ideally we are looking for somebody with experience in transport systems, who has great attention to detail, inputting data and references etc as this role will involve a lot of spreadsheet management.

The planning team are located off site and it is a very busy office so the ideal candidate will be very knowledgable within the transport industry.

  • What your day will look like/Tasks to Complete


  • Efficiently and effectively progress chasing deliveries and collections and liaising with different stakeholders to communicate progress.
  • Completing track and trace documentation
  • Compiling KPI reports
  • Route cause analysis of issues and reporting findings
  • Data input tasks using our TMS systems (including Job Entry, rate inputting, etc)
  • Retrospective TMS compliance checks
  • Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve issues promptly.
  • Regular communication with Customers, Planning team, On-site Operation teams, Drivers, and Sub contractors
  • Deal with a high volume of customer and carrier phone calls and emails.
  • Booking in deliveries and collections
  • POD control and proactively retrieving PODs from carriers.
