The Company OXBO are partnering with a leading UK Solar & BESS who are looking to grow out their in house planning team in the UK in order to progress the development of their Solar & BESS projects throughout the country. Responsibilities - Supporting the UK development team with all current and future planning processes.
- Working closely with the team on identifying suitable development opportunities around connection opportunities.
- Managing planning consultants and other contractors appointed by the company to assist in the planning process.
- Reviewing team-originated land opportunities from a planning viewpoint, in cooperation with the team and their input regarding aspects of long-term requirements around construction, operation and asset management.
- Managing key stakeholders through the planning process and into the site construction and operational phase.
- Attend industry and discipline events, webinars and shows
Requirements - Detailed understanding of the UK planning system.
- Knowledge and experience of the TCPA application process
- Prior experience of working in utility scale solar and/or BESS.
- Experience of project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Chartered status and Full Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or other relevant professional body (or working towards membership).
- Excellent written, communication and organisational skills.
