Meridian Business Support are working with our fantastic client within the Pensions sector, they are looking for a Technical Pensions Specialist to join their growing team based in one of their national offices.

About the roleYou will form part of the technical team to provide technical product support to the Group but with specific responsibility for ensuring policy issues are managed effectively and operational procedures are fit for purpose.

Policy management will require recognition of issues, provision of information to allow informed decision making, recording policy and rationale for decisions, reviewing policy in light of changes, communicating policy.

You will also help in the production of product literature and technical guides.

Procedure management will require review, engagement with the operational team management concerning procedural changes to operational areas, sign off amendments, minimising referral to the technical department and recommending indefinable efficiencies in procedure.

As part of the team structure, you will ensure colleagues will be kept fully appraised of legislative changes, policy and procedures and likewise you will be required to keep up to date in respect of Pensions Legisltion with specific reference to SSAS arrangements.

A key team function is to maintain a technical mailbox and support to deal with operative queries and issues.

A key focus will be on imparting technical knowledge through effective spoken, written and presentational mediums to operational teams, trustee and sales consultants.

Key accountabilities:Policy managementProcedure management and engagement with operational teamsProvision of technical mailbox and operational supportTo meet key objectives as set out in your personal development planSupport technical team objectivesProcess and Proposition DevelopmentAbout you:Minimum 8yrs SIPP/SSAS Technical/Operational ExperienceGood general pension legislation knowledgeSystems savvy with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerpointUsed to day-to-day operation of self-administered schemesNumerate with good Verbal Reasoning and communication skillsPMI, CII or Financial Services qualification preferred but not essentialThis is a full time Hybrid role working Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, offering a salary of £48,000 - £58,000 plus great benefits.
