The Opportunity

An opportunity to work at a senior level in the technical accounting team, delivering a variety of complex accounting support to a mix of AIM, Main list and private equity backed clients. The individual should have strong IFRS knowledge and experience and be confident researching accounting areas and explaining them to clients. You should also be confident in preparing technical papers which will be subject to audit. As a senior manager you will hold and manage a client portfolio as well as being project lead on one off pieces of work.

As a senior manager in the team you will also be expected to help with the running of the department in terms of finances, recruitment and inputting to strategy.

Day to day duties

- Responsible for client management from managing the relationship, answering queries through to ensuring WIP and billing management

- Responsible for dealing with client queries, drafting accounting papers, leading projects and meeting deadlines.

- Input into staff development of the Technical Accounting team

- Responsible for helping manage the department

- Actively promote the core values of Azets

What are we looking for?

  • You will be post ACCA/ ACA qualified accountant, with a breadth of knowledge on complex accounting areas. Four to five years post qualification experience expected
  • You will have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable rectifying queries as soon as they are brought to your attention.
  • Your responsibilities will, alongside the senior team include helping manage the department including training, finances, and business development.
