About the Role:

IRD Consultancy are hiring multiple Team Managers to be based in either Bond Street, Selfridges or Harrods. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for effectively leading, developing, and supporting the sales and operations teams to achieve or surpass sales goals and profitability targets. This role requires a dynamic, attentive, and motivating leader who excels in building strong relationships with both internal team members and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and support sales and operations teams to meet/exceed sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with the Store Director to create and implement sales strategies, while assisting with closing transactions through effective sales behaviors.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales Professionals and Managers to drive team performance and sales growth.
  • Analyse sales reports and provide actionable recommendations to increase sales.
  • Champion customer service excellence, ensuring consistent delivery and retention of at least 55% customer loyalty.
  • Execute clienteling programs to expand the customer base and grow business, ensuring strategic outreach and relationship-building.
  • Support key events and product launches, driving strategic client engagement and sales results.
  • Coach and mentor Sales Professionals, ensuring weekly observation and performance feedback to enhance sales skills.
  • Utilise performance management tools to motivate and inspire the team through recognition and action plans for improvement.
  • Provide continuous feedback, focusing on strengths and development opportunities through both formal and informal coaching methods.

About the Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in luxury retail or relevant customer related experience.
  • Experience in sales generation and managing the achievement of sales results.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Point of Sales (POS) system.
  • The ability to inspire trust, integrity, fairness and professionalism both with clients and staff members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Flexibility to work in various roles based on business needs (i.e., on the sales floor, operations, etc.).
  • Must currently hold authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirments:

  • A college/university degree.
  • Graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work is preferred.
  • Sales experience in retail or luxury retail or relevant customer related experience.
