Role overview


The role is based in the London Equities Department providing full-time secretarial/administrative support for the Global Resources, Global Real Estate Securities and QEP teams. 



This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.


The successful candidate’s duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Provide secretarial/administrative support to the teams, including managing busy calendars and scheduling meetings;
  • Coordinating global travel arrangements, working in line with the Schroders travel policy to effectively manage travel costs, and preparing travel itineraries;
  • Prepare and distribute documents, reports, and presentations for team members;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases;
  • Assist in the coordination and organization of team events/offsites;
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling inquiries and providing timely and professional responses;
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks and projects;
  • Processing expenses and invoice payments;
  • Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions and
  • Support the onboarding process for new team members, including arranging equipment, access, and orientation.
  • Cross department collaboration:



    Working with the other team assistants across Equities to share best practice and cover annual leave/absences or during particularly busy periods.


    General and Technical Skills


  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, team secretary or team assistant;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to use own initiative, priorities and work to deadlines;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office application tools;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication;
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable Skills


  • Previous knowledge and/or experience within the Investment Management or Financial Services Industry,
  • Certification or training in office administration or related field and 
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
