Our client, Aran Fire Protection Ltd (part of the New Path Fire and Security Group), is a progressive fire protection company specialising in passive fire prevention.

They provide a range of services including fire stopping, fire barriers, surveys, fire door installation and maintenance, fire damper installation and door condition reports and maintenance.

They are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a keen eye for detail, to join their dynamic and vibrant team.

Reporting to Head of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost estimation, financial management and successful project delivery.


Quantity Surveyor , the role:


  • Cost Estimation and Analysis preparing detailed cost estimates based on specifications, drawings and site visits; analysing project requirements, providing budgeting and forecasting; managing quotations
  • Financial Management monitoring budgets, invoices, financial control; identifying risks; submitting reports; chasing payments
  • Contract Administration - assisting in preparation, negotiating and contracts management; ensuring compliance
  • Project Collaboration working closely with Contracts/Project Managers; providing support; attending meetings
  • Documentation and Reporting maintaining accurate records; managing cost reports, cashflow forecasts and other financial documents; ensuring all documentation is completed
  • Software Utilisation utilising Xero for financial tracking and reporting; implementing other relevant software and tools

Quantity Surveyor , the person:


  • HNC/D, Degree or similar in Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • In depth experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the passive fire protection industry (possibly construction)
  • CSCS Card and full drivers licence
  • In-depth knowledge of QS requirements and estimating practices
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools)
  • Basic proficiency in Xero would be desirable
