A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy for an ambitious and suitably skilled person to develop their pastoral leadership.

In this role you will be responsible for the pastoral welfare and behaviour of the students within a year group.

You will ensure that everyone's safety and well-being is at the top of our priorities through the provision of high-quality care, challenge, guidance, and support backed by a supportive year group Student Achievement Leader and a linked year lead SLT (Senior Leadership Team) member.

As the main point of contact for our students and their families, you will be central to providing support that is responsive to individual needs and circumstances enabling students to overcome personal barriers, broaden horizons, raise expectations, and develop students into successful learners.

Experience of working with children or young adults in an educational environment would be an advantage but is not essential as training and support will be provided.
