Job Title: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Manchester City CentreProject: New Build (M&E value of £14 million)Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus car and packageAbout the Role:Mech Electrics are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team for an exciting new build project in Manchester City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring value for money, and overseeing cost control and commercial management on this prestigious project in Manchester.Key Responsibilities:Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, preparing regular reports on financial status.Contract Administration: Oversee all contractual aspects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.Procurement: Manage procurement processes, including tendering and negotiation of subcontracts and supplier agreements.Valuation: Prepare and present accurate valuations and variations, managing the application process and ensuring timely payments.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks associated with the project.Budget Management: Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Project Reporting: Provide detailed progress reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.Leadership and Mentoring: Motivating and organising your team and offering mentorship and development opportunities.Qualifications and Experience:Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.Professional Membership: MRICS or equivalent professional qualification preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in M&E projects.Skills: Excellent analytical and numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant software.Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make sound decisions under pressure.Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.What The Company Offer:Competitive Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum.Benefits: Comprehensive package including a company car and additional benefits.Career Development: Opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression.Dynamic Environment: Work on a high-profile project in a vibrant city centre location.If you are a proactive and dedicated professional with a passion for delivering high-quality results, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity
