Senior Investment Analyst

Deverellsmith has partnered with a leading real estate development financer/co-investor. Our client works across the entire real estate spectrum in the UK, financing various asset classes such as single-family housing, multi-family housing, care homes, retirement living, student accommodation, office spaces, land and planning opportunities, light industrial, and logistics. They provide financing across the capital stack, including senior debt, stretched senior, mezzanine finance, and equity co-investment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Analysis & Financial Modelling:

  • Collate new business information.
  • Perform financial modelling and transaction appraisals.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings.
  • Draft initial Heads of Terms and assist in credit reports.

    • Execution:

  • Prepare formal letters for professionals.
  • Assist with deal execution and manage third-party professionals.
  • Oversee KYC and AML processes.

    • Management:

  • Attend meetings and follow up on actions.
  • Review valuation and project monitoring reports.
  • Conduct stress-testing, portfolio analysis, and reporting.

    • What you need

  • 3 to 5 years of sector experience
  • University-educated and/or experience working in the industry
  • Strong underwriting and analysis skills
  • Good critical thinking, ability to question and challenge and to think independently
  • Desire to continue to learn and expand knowledge basis
  • Organised, good at prioritising, task-orientated with the ability to pick things up and see them through
  • Team player who is good at multi-tasking
