The role!


Building on our continued success, we are looking for a Senior IT Analyst to join our team in the uk!

You will support the Global IT Lead and assist with application and infrastructure support to employee users globally.

The successful candidate will enable an efficient and effective IT service throughout the business.


Key Accountabilities include:


  • Assist in providing a real-time IT support service to users based around the world. Using NRC’s ticket system you will provide a timely and accurate resolution to faults and requests.

  • Liaise with the regional IT support staff on a regular basis to ensure that a consistent and excellent support service is being provided to the global team and provide additional assistance if needed.
  • Responsible for sharing updated IT information with the regional IT support staff and send out global communications when needed.
  • Assist with Office 365 administration including user account management, software licensing and Microsoft groups management.
  • Responsible for the procurement, preparation and collection of NRC devices (laptops and phones) ensuring that NRC’s IT asset register is kept up to date at all times.
  • Provide support with Azure services such as Entra ID, storage accounts.
  • Manage NRC’s SharePoint permissions and access requests to ensure privacy levels are accurately maintained.
  • Support the Integrated Management Systems Manager with Power Platform development and troubleshooting, and maximise the use of automation for business processes.
  • Provide specialist support with cloud-based systems such as SQL Servers and Virtual Machines.
  • Assist with innovation and continuous improvements to NRC’s IT systems and infrastructure whilst helping to maintain a cost effective pricing strategy.
  • Assist with the ongoing improvement to NRC’s cyber security.
  • Assist in managing the backup services and retrievals.
  • Deputise for the Global IT Lead as necessary.

Skills were looking for:


  • Knowledge of IT service operations including best IT practices, industry trends and customer service.
  • Knowledge and experience of product administration including Microsoft 365 (User management, Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange).
  • Have an understanding of cyber security controls and information management.
  • Experience of working in a multi-skilled and customer driven environment.
  • Experience in managing IT assets/devices (laptops/phones) and Endpoint Manager (InTune).
  • Have an understanding of cloud computing (virtual machines/cloud storage).
  • Database experience e.g. SQL. and a sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (permissions, site management).
