We are seeking

a full-time Senior HR Officer to join the Department of Physics on a permanent basis. The Department of Physics at Oxford University is one of the largest and most highly respected of its kind and the HR function is an essential part of the overall administration for over 500 academics, researchers, technicians and support staff. Have demonstrable HR and recruitment experience, sound knowledge of UK employment law and UKVI regulations. Advanced IT skills and HR experience at the University of Oxford or other Higher Education institutions, experience of using People XD and are highly desirable. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Head of HR and will be expected to have previous experience of managing change and implementing process improvements. This will be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to enhance HR processes and add value to the HR service provision. As Senior HR Officer, you will provide support to sub-departments on HR and recruitment, build relations with key stakeholders and provide advice in line with university policies and UK employment law. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in project work, which could include EDI, employee engagement or systems/process improvement initiatives. In addition, you will have oversight of two HR Assistants and work alongside another Senior HR Officer in order to provide the best possible service to all staff in the Department on the full employee life-cycle.
