About the role


Wheatley Group’s finance team are committed to delivering excellent customer service and providing financial support and advice across the Group to enable it to achieve its strategic priorities.


The role has a focus on the financial monitoring and appraisal of the Group’s ambitious new build programme and the provision of financial reports for the Group’s development subsidiary.

Key responsibilities of the role include decision support, new build project appraisals, management reporting, preparation of budgets and forecasts, and external statutory reporting.


The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will work closely with the Group Financial Planning Manager, Financial Reporting teams and the development team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of information, a smooth budgeting process and excellent customer service.

The role will also support the wider business-planning process across the Group, providing cover and assistance to the Group Financial Planning Manager where required.



Who are we looking for?


The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience within a large organisation, ideally with a background in housing/construction/infrastructure.

They will have experience in project appraisal, financial forecasting and the preparation of management and statutory accounts.


The successful candidate should also be used to working independently and be able to demonstrate experience of managing a challenging workload in a busy environment to meet all deadlines.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential as well as an ability to produce and present clear and accessible financial information and reports to an audience of non-financial experts.
