Interim Senior Accountant

(Initial) 3 Month Contract

Hybrid Working (2 days per week)

£450 – £500 per day (Umbrella)

Halliday Marx have partnered with a Global Media organisation to recruit a Senior Accountant on an initial 3 month contract.

Hybrid working consisting of 2 days per week in office this role is to support with year-end close, annual audit and to ensure effective reporting and controls are adhered too.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, our client is looking for a strong technical accountant with hands on experience, ideally from a technical/finance or reporting background.

Duties

  • Support with the preparation of Statutory Accounts ensuring all timelines are met
  • Support the annual audit process ensuring delivery and sign off is completed
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support and establish strong financial controls and reporting complying with IFRS, and local GAAP
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of the business area results, using monthly reporting packs to support the business to deliver the results
  • Support with process improvement projects throughout the business
  • Support with any adhoc projects and tasks to support the wider finance team

    • The Successful Candidate;

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with demonstrable PQE experience
  • Excellent understanding and experience with IFRS and local GAAP (specifically IFRS 15 revenue recognition)
  • Strong technical and reporting experience at year-end
  • Excellent communication skills with financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Self starter, team player with commercial acumen
  • Previous experience within Media or a global organisation would be desirable
  • Excellent Excel skills and previous SAP experience is desirable
