T2M Resourcing are currently working alongside an exciting automotive manufacturing business to help them to recruit a Senior Development Engineer.


As a Senior Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering powertrain systems that meet agreed functional, cost, quality and operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities as a Senior Development Engineer


  • Oversee the planning, design, development and testing of systems in line with client requirements.
  • Work closely with design, production and manufacturing engineers overseeing all stages of projects.
  • To develop and implement test procedures and then interpret and analyse the results and data of these tests, to report and present data to clients and managers.
  • Management and coordination of a concerns database, ensuring all issues are logged.
  • To demonstrate through testing that the system/features meet all specified requirements.

Requirements to be a successful Senior Development Engineer


  • At least 5 years’ experience in powertrain Engineering.
  • Knowledge of project delivery within an engineering systems environment essential.
  • Experience of Electric motor / inverter development and testing desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong technical report writing skills, with experience in delivering presentations.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject.

Based from the company’s headquarters in Milton Keynes this opportunity will provide the successful applicant the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects within the automotive industry.


They have budgeted a salary of up to £60,000 for the role depending on experience, and the package would also include a Private Medical plan, a good holiday allowance growing with service and an option to join an Electrical Vehicle Sacrifice Scheme following the successful completion of your probationary period.
