Mantell Associates is currently partnered with an excitingorganisation on their search for a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing Automation and Digitalisation team.


Senior Data Scientist - Responsibilities:


  • Role is a blend of data scientist responsibilites across both scientific and manfucturing industries
  • Work alongside battery scientists
  • Use digital tools to drive efficiency
  • Undertake complex and multi-faceted client and innovation programs
  • Apply established platform approaches and utilise problem-solving skills to rapidly solve day to day experimental challenges
  • Provide support to the team regarding downstream activities
  • Perform experiments at the bench and pilot scales
  • Apply fundamental scientific and engineering principles in order to support process development and process characterisation, evaluate process improvements and resolve potential processing issues
  • Communicate work through oral presentations and written documentation including technical reports and GMP documents to support regulatory filings
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and interact with representatives from Process Development, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Quality to arrive at and implement viable /practical solutions to support clinical/commercial manufacturing
  • Provide scientific technical support for technology transfer of processes to manufacturing
  • Utilise out-of-the-box thinking to contribute to technology development
  • Manage timelines and coordinate resources with function heads to ensure project deliverables are achieved

Senior Data Scientist - Requirements:


  • PhD in Molecular Biology, biochemistry, chemical/biochemical engineering or related disciplines
  • Scientific background with leadership experience
  • Experience in Python scripts
  • Experience in Machine Learning and data processing AI
  • Proficient with design of experiments and statistical analysis of data
  • Must be articulate around the science and problem solving
  • Previous experience supervising a team of junior scientists and research associates in a strategic multifunctional environment
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking
  • Hands-on experiences with technology transfer of manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of CGMP's, regulatory guidelines, validation practices, and other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
