Senior Data Cabling Engineer/SupervisorLocation: LondonSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 pa (depending on experience)Our client, a leader in structured cabling projects, has secured several large-scale contracts in London set to begin in Q3/Q4 of 2024. To support these exciting new projects, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Data Cabling Engineer or Data Supervisor, to join their dynamic delivery team.Key Responsibilities:Reporting to the Main Project Manager and CNS Project Manager.Collaborating with the Engineering Manager to support structured cabling teams with: Health & Safety processes on site.Managing site access and egress.Arranging site inductions and specific courses for the cabling team.Organising and coordinating deliveries.Tracking project progress and reporting back to the internal team.Attending weekly "look ahead" meetings and ensuring partner cabling subcontractors meet their programme obligations.Coordinating with other trade contractors to prepare work areas for the cabling teams.Issuing and tracking installation drawings and clarifying any queries.Participating in site/project meetings and coordinating outputs with the site and Senior Management teams.Delivering daily Health & Safety briefings as needed.Reporting on daily work progress and outstanding tasks.Liaising confidently with other trades on site.Overseeing cable testing packages and leading client witness testing.Supporting the network team with active network hardware installation.Assisting with racking, stacking, and patching to support the commissioning programme. Essential Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of consistent experience in the structured cabling installation environment.At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to lead on-site teams, and coordinate with other trade contractors, client teams, and internal project teams.Highly organised, self-motivated, and a positive thinker/problem solver.Confident communicator with peers, clients, and trade partners at all levels.Hold one or more of the following qualifications: Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI)BICSI Installer Level 2BICSI TechnicianCity & Guilds Communications Cabling & Networks (3667)Clean criminal record.Possess a CSCS or ECS skill card (excluding green CSCS labourers card). Ideal Requirements:Based in London or willing to travel to Central London daily.Hold IPAF and/or PASMA certificates.Asbestos Awareness certification.First Aid at Work certification. Package:Permanent salaried position: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (depending on experience).6-month probationary period.40 hours per week on site (08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday).25 days annual holiday entitlement.Company pension scheme.Options for private healthcare packages.Coverage of all reasonable travel expenses (to and from work).Issuance of a mobile phone and laptop for business use.Annual performance bonus.Training opportunities.Excellent career progression prospects.
