The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the execution of specific aspects of supply chain management including expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting of major procurement packages / subcontracts.

You will have a clear understanding of the client’s head contract requirements including Wood responsibilities and knowledge of how these are integrated into project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms and conditions.

You should have working knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, interfaces with Wood legal / commercial experts and can under guidance initiate / discuss adaptations in order to reach a robust commercial agreement.



Qualifications:


  • Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or Equivalent), CIPS qualified or industry equivalent

    • Knowledge, skills and experience:


  • Extensive Supply Chain experience
  • Detailed knowledge of Suppliers, commercial Evaluations, Negotiations and Terms and Conditions of Purchase / Contract
  • Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements
  • Industry forms of Subcontract
  • ERP systems
  • Client contract requirements
  • Supply Chain Principles and techniques

    • Experience of:


  • Commercial Evaluations, negotiations and terms and condition qualification
  • Supplier Relationship Management

    • Personal attributes:


  • Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation
  • Maintains a strong network both within and outside of supply chain department
  • Positively maintain relationships with suppliers, clients and other disciplines
