BioTalent has partnered with a pioneering clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in London who are on the search for a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer .



You will become a key contributor to the Bioinformatics Software team which drives the development of innovative therapy which is destined to change the course of cancer patient management.



You will be responsible for:


  • Planning, designing, and implementing new functionalityforr clinical pipeline and associated products
  • Maintenance and optimisation of current bioinformatics software
  • Providing software engineering SME support and feedback for projects within the Bioinformatics Team
  • Mentoring more junior team members
  • Participating in code reviews, project meetings and other related activities
  • Presenting new technologies or concepts to the team with the aim of improving processes and capabilities


You will bring the following:


  • BSc or MSc qualification in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience writing production-grade code as part of a development team
  • Thorough understanding of CS fundamentals and software engineering best practices
  • Ability and willingness to rapidly learn new languages/frameworks as required
  • Previous experience with bioinformatics advantageous but not required
