This will be on a temporary to Permanent contract, working with children and young people between 11-17 years old. 

The role is based in an Alternative Provision supporting children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties who display some challenging behaviour.

Job Duties:Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to studentsAssess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinationsCreate a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participationCollaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategiesCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performanceRequired Qualifications:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Degree in a relevant scientific disciplineStrong knowledge of the national curriculum for scienceEducation:Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific disciplineExperience:Prior experience teaching science at the secondary school levelKnowledge and Skills:Excellent understanding of science concepts and principlesAbility to engage and motivate students of varying abilitiesStrong classroom management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:Postgraduate qualification in EducationExperience working with diverse student populationsWorking Conditions:Work full-time hours on a temp to perm contract basisTeach in a classroom setting at a secondary SEMH school in BoltonCollaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learningAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
