Excellent opportunity for an experienced Risk Surveyor to join a high quality Claims and Risk Management business. nGHG Solutions is a leading provider of Risk Surveying and Management Services to the UK insurance market. Due to continued growth within our business, we have opportunities for both trainee and experienced Risk Consultants, to join our team undertaking Material Damage, Business Interruption, Security and Liability risk control surveys across a wide-ranging spectrum of commercial and industrial risks throughout the UK. To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of insurance gained from a current or previous role in risk control, risk management, brokering, underwriting, engineering or claims areas. As a member of the Risk Services team, you will be home based engaging directly with the customer. What will you be responsible for:nCarry out on-site and desktop assessments determining whether hazards are adequately managed, identifying and negotiating risk mitigation and reduction programmes. nProduce reports to agreed quality. nPrioritises individual workloads to deliver services efficiently and effectively to agreed service level agreements. nCollaborate with other business areas, dealing with technical referrals, training, and sharing of best practices as appropriate. What we need from you:nAn understanding of a range of risks and required risk management solutions and control measures. nKnowledge of risk management and loss prevention practices. nUnderstand building construction and design, fire protection standards, protection, and suppression systems. nKnowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, codes of practice, guidance, and industry standards. nAbility to analyse and interpret underwriting information. nCompetent IT and keyboard skills, with a working knowledge of MS software products with the ability to adapt to in-house systems. nDeveloped presentation and communications skills with the ability to negotiate and influence. nProfessional qualifications aligned to your experience for example NEBOSH general certificatenA full UK driving license.
