Job Title REGISTERED CHILDREN’S MANAGERLocation COVENTRYHours 37 WORKING HOURS PER WEEKHancoxRead Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager on behalf of their client in Coventry.Due to the expansion of our client’s services, we are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and resilient Manager with a good knowledge of residential care, legislation, and experience of managing staff.They have re-designed and transformed its’ children’s homes provision and already have a number of homes across the city. Each home is family styled, caring for up to four 'looked after' young people aged 10-17.They strive to achieve safe positive outcomes for our vulnerable children through the delivery of high-quality residential care and effective care planning.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensure the Children’s Home provision meets OFSTED inspection standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015). * Co-ordinate operational needs for the home. * Ensure health and safety compliance. * Develop comprehensive Personal Plans for children and young people aged 10 to 17 years old * Create a safe, homely environment.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED * Level 5 Diploma (or equivalent) qualification in Leadership & Management. * 2 years management experience within a children’s residential care home setting. * Clean UK driving license with the ability to drive to and from work independently. * Enhanced DBS with Child Barring (Registered on Update Service) * Experience in managing residential services for children and young peopleWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR * Successful candidates will be required to work closely with the Operational Lead to build an effective team and achieve successful outcomes for children living within the home. * You will need to be able to use your own initiative and be expected to drive forward improvements and meet the requirements of the Children Homes Regulations 2015 and best practice standards identified within the SCCIF. * You will ensure that the voice of the child is heard and integral in supporting them and in the delivery of the service.Our client values diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create a workplace culture that is inclusive, is accepting of all and is free from discrimination and bias
