We are now recruiting temporary roles to support our 2024 Turnaround (TAR) event, an event which enables us to undertake critical project work across the Refinery. Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for your next exciting opportunity? Do you have the skills and experience we need? We would love to hear from applicants who have a degree or qualification in the field of Procurement or Quantity Surveying. We will also consider applicants with relevant experience in the following: Contractor and materials procurement Contract administration managing complex and high value contracts Contract styles and arrangements - our primary contract style on site is NEC therefore previous experience in this would be advantageous Preparation and presentation of detailed spend reports and complex data Strong commercial awareness In addition to the above criteria, the behavioural competencies key to this role are: Effective communication Strong influencing and persuasion skills Negotiation skills Proactive and adaptable approach Your Accountabilities Support the team to prepare, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and contractors Management and analysis of monthly spend data, KPIs and forecasting updates Implement and enforce Procurement policies, procedures and monitor procurement systems and processes to ensure time and cost efficiency Provide, utilise and communicate in depth market intelligence Provide expertise on procurement related risks associated with high value and complex strategies Manage contract variations in line with contractual terms ensuring clear documentation is in place and communicated Subject Matter Expert on contract styles and documentation together with performance measurement, incentivisation and relationship management techniques.
