About the Opportunity

The Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely under the direction of the Quality Manager who is responsible for quality compliance of the organisation to customer and regulatory requirements, on a wide range of quality assurance and control activities to ensure our KPIs are achieved.

The successful candidate will work within the Quality / Technical department supporting the organisation in ensuring compliance to Regulatory and Integrated Management System requirements. The position is open to both experienced and entry level Quality personnel.

Main Duties

  • Supporting the Quality Manager for HCL Internal and External Audit Programme.

  • Conduct internal Product, Process & System Audits to EN9100 and customer requirements.

  • Support the Quality Manager with Surveillance and Certification Quality Management System audits.

  • Improvements to the HCL Integrated Management System Key Processes and Production Provisions Procedures.

  • Control of organisation stamps, vision tests and competency records.

  • Management of the calibration system and process.

  • Support the organisations short term and long-term Quality Strategy.

  • Support and Interface with customers on Quality Assurance provisions including Product Quality Notifications.

  • Support periodic business quality reviews.

  • Provide training on quality assurance, control and supply chain requirements.

  • Review customer and regulatory standards / specifications for QMS compliance.

  •   Desired Skills

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience of EN9100 / ISO9001 Lead or Internal certified auditor.

  • Proven track record in either a Quality Assurance or Inspection function in either aerospace, nuclear or similarly regulated sector.

  • Strong knowledge of EN9100 or ISO9001 Regulatory requirements.

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to solve problems using tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, 5Y & Ishikawa.

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.

  • Self-Motivated and positive mindset to make continual improvement personally and for the organisation.

  • Desired Experience

  • Quality professional with working experience in a Quality Engineering function.

  • Knowledgeable in AS9100 QMS requirements.

  • Auditing experience is desirable.

  • ISO14001 Experience is desirable.
