QC Analyst HaverhillPermanent£ Competitive plus attractive shift uplift Shifts pattern:Monday to Thursday: 06:00 until 14:00 or 14:00 until 22:00Friday: 06:00 until 11:00 or 11:00 until 16:00Working for an international food and flavourings organisation in their QC department; ensuring the testing of raw materials and finished products meets stringent quality requirements. Role requirements: Chemical analysis of customer samples and non-conformance tracking using laboratory equipment and a variety of analytical methods such as: HPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS, Karl Fisher, UV-Spec, particle size analysis, extraction and pH determination.Entering analytical specification results into SAP.Taking responsibility for ensuring all lab instrumentation is maintained to ISO 17025 requirements.Carrying out chemical investigations into both internal and external non-conformance - identifying root cause and putting in place any preventative actions.Creating detailed instructions for rework requirements for failures and ensuring laboratory stocks and supplies are satisfactory. Your background:Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in an agile and flexible manner.Experience of working in a QC Laboratory undertaking chemical analysis within the food, beverage or pharmaceutical sector.BSc (or equivalent) in a discipline such as Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food or Pharmaceutical Science - or related.Strong working knowledge of SAP and it's various functions.Able to work with minimal supervision in a busy team.
