The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring optimum inventory levels by analysing sales data and accurately forecasting demand.

They will be confident at working with numbers and data plus experienced in raising purchase orders for both new SKUs and replenishment stock.

They will have a good understanding of working with external suppliers and managing the purchasing side of the supply chain.


Requirements


Core responsibilities include:



  • Full management of all product purchasing for The Koin Club, ensuring optimum inventory levels at all times
  • Approving purchase orders and dealing with external suppliers to ensure stock is delivered in time
  • Liaising with external suppliers on new products and information to expand product ranges
  • Negotiating with pricing and MoQs
  • Working with Marketing and Sales to gather forecast requirements for ordering new items
  • Use sales data to accurately forecast ongoing stock replenishment requirements
  • Identifying slow moving / sell through needed and flag with relevant sales channels
  • Discontinued line management
  • Reporting of KPIs for inventory / stock holding
  • Management of stock levels across multiple locations / warehouses
  • Subscription stock management
  • Key skills required:


  • At least 3 years of experience working in a purchasing role or similar
  • Line management (1 direct report)
  • Great at analysing data and numbers (Grade B in Maths or above at GCSE)
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly organised
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Confident in dealing with suppliers
  • Understanding of subscriptions desirable but not essential
  • Experience with dealing with multiple warehouses preferred
