About The Role

The Procurement Manager will oversee the organisations procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in M&E procurement and proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects across the M&E sector. Responsibilities include designing and implementing new ideas in implementing procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Research alternative products to identify opportunities to improve on tender margin.
  • Interpret drawings, reports and specifications to ensure that the correct products/services are purchased.
  • Effectively communicate ideas and concepts with variety of stakeholders including pre-con, operations teams, suppliers/sub-contractors, and client representative.
  • Prepare accurate purchase orders, reports and records.
  • Liaise with site teams and suppliers to ensure plant and materials requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Review quotes.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and terms.
  • Comfortable challenging suppliers in a professional manner when expectations are not met.

    Person Specification

  • Construction qualification of CIPS
  • 10 years’ experience in procurement planning and delivering project supply chain.
  • MEP experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate exposure to the M&E sector.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Policy compliance.
  • Team development.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, coordinating requirements of project team, suppliers/sub-contractors and clients to achieve a common outcome.
  • DBS check to be completed prior to a start date.
  • A legal right to work in the UK.
