To help Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils with special needs learn, the school is seeking to hire a dedicated and trustworthy SEN teaching assistant.

About the role: The school are seeking a dedicated individual, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs.

The right candidate will have the ability to empathise with students as well as effectively communicate with them.

This role is to support children in Key Stage 1 and 2 to develop their academic skills in the classroom.

Needs include, but are not limited to: ASC, ADHD, and ADD.

The candidate: Level 2 or 3 certificate in supporting teaching and learning in schools (not essential) / or equivalent relevant experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skillsEmpathetic and supportive attitude recognising the unique challenges faced by SEN studentsAbility to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of studentsProviding individual and group support, helping the children engage in classroom activitiesManaging challenging behaviour and supporting positive behaviour in the classroomBenefits: Competitive rates of pay: £83.
