Do you have a passion for people and enjoy building solid relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike? If you love finding solutions, data analysis and have experience in the People and HR field then this role may be perfect for you. You'll report directly to the Head of People for Retail, supporting various business areas in the north of the UK. You'lldesign and deliver People solutions in collaboration with COE's and get to lead on strategic People projects and change initiatives. You'll be the trusted advisor to managers on escalated HR matters and complex employee relations cases, working in conjunction with the ER team. What you will be doing

  • Contribute to business planning and strategic discussions by providing commercial advice and support on all People operational issues
  • Embed a Performance Management culture that supports and delivers our Business and People objectives
  • Identifies priorities from organisational and functional plans, translating business requirements into effective practices with colleague experience at the core
  • Support the development of robust talent pipelines
  • Manage recruitment needs with leadership teams, working with Talent Acquisition partners to deliver an effective workforce plan
  • Develop self and keep up to date with business changes and trends within the People Management space
  • Supporting the business areas you work with to drive colleague engagement
  • Analysis and review of key People management information to identify opportunities, working with People leaders to improve People KPI's and employee experience
  • Who we are looking for

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience with a good working knowledge of employment law and up to date with emerging trends and best practice
  • Be a confident and effective communicator at all levels with the credibility and gravitas to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Solution focused, strong decision maker, adaptable with experience in a fast paced and large complex organisation
  • Have a full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to support stakeholders in the north of the UK and Scotland
