About the role

The Neighbourhood Services team is responsible for keeping Crawley’s residential and communal areas safe clean and well maintained. Our work involves litter picking, bin emptying, weeding and pruning shrub beds, hedge cutting, removing fly tips, strimming and grass cutting.

One permanent contract, full time (37 hours per week) - South Patch (NHS031)  Assisting the South Patch team with a range of grounds maintenance tasks as listed above in Furnace Green, Tilgate, Southgate and Broadfield.  Experience is an advantage but not essential. The hours of work for this role are Monday and Tuesday 7am to 3pm, Wednesday 7am to 2.30pm, and Saturday and Sunday 7am to 3pm. 

One permanent contract, part time (14.5 hours per week) – Central and East Patch (NHS011)Assisting the Central and East team with a range of grounds maintenance tasks as listed above in Pound Hill, Maidenbower, Three Bridges, Northgate and West Green. Experience is an advantage but not essential. The hours of work for this role are Thursday 7am to 3am Friday 7am to 2.30pm

Additional information

Post holder required to maintain a current full UK driving licence (category B) and wear a uniform.

You need to have a driving licence, the ability to drive transit sized vehicles and the physical capability to undertake the work.    

A 14% enhancement on the rate of pay will be given for hours worked at the weekend in line with the local pay agreement.

Extra hours may be required during the week and on Bank Holidays, which are paid in line with the Local Pay Agreement.
