We are currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our head office Finance team on a part time permanent basis. Your role as the Payroll Assistant will be to support the Payroll Manager with the preparation, process and administration of monthly payroll.

What you will do

  • Assist in all payroll administrative tasks
  • Gathers and tracks all payroll changes from HR
  • Support payroll manager with all tasks related to running the monthly payroll, including reconciliation and submission of pension deduction data to the Company's pension provider.
  • Process court orders, mortgage references, Child Support Agency questionnaires and statutory payments such as maternity, paternity, parental leave and SSP.
  • Keep Payments & deductions spreadsheet up to date and support the annual year end process including P11ds and PSA
  • Maintain and review the payroll inboxes, dealing with or escalating colleague queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Any other ad hoc requests as and when required

    • What you will need

  • Previous payroll experience essential
  • Intermediate Excel skills essential, advanced preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Experience and confidence handling high volume complex payrolls and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
