P6 Planner

The Planner is will report to the Project Manager ensuring that all planning procedures are implemented in accordance with programme strategy and client governance frameworks. Providing Programme team with Planning expertise required to deliver robust performance measurement baselines, reporting management, change management and risk management. .

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and generation of the programme plans with input from Project Managers and supporting cross-functional team to establish robust performance measurement baselines.
  • Produce detailed logic linked project plans within Primavera P6.
  • Liaise with programme suppliers to establish and review plans.
  • Ensure the integration of Project Control procedures into the planning process, including controlled release of project plans for execution.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and supporting cross-functional team to update plan schedule progress and costs incurred to enable monthly reporting.
  • Assess the impact of risk and change on the plan.
  • Produce EVM data.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Planning matters and support/guide/train cross-functional team members as required.
  • Undertake functional leadership and line management as may be required.

 

Experience and qualifications

 

• Subject matter expert in project Planning.

• Planning experience in major construction/infrastructure projects.

• Expert user of Primavera P6.

• Ability to develop and establish robust WBS-CBS and performance measurement baselines.

• Understanding of earned value management systems and ability to develop effective systems to report schedule, cost and earned value.

• Understanding of change management procedures and ability to develop effective systems to manage and report change.

• Understanding of risk management procedures and ability to develop effective systems to manage and report risk.

• Ability to influence within cross-functional teams to add value to programme management procedures.
