Yorkshire Talent Partners are working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire.

Due to an increase in business demands, they are recruiting an Operations Manager to join an existing Senior Leadership Team, to work across 2 sites, and to take the manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution divisions to the next level.

These teams consist of a stable and long-standing workforce, but the position requires someone to bring in new ideas regarding process and improvement, and to take the business to the next stage of its growth plan.



Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager position offers:



  • Salary up to £50,000
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • A business that operates Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, no evenings or weekends
  • A chance to work as part of the Senior Leadership Team and to be an integral part of the next stage of company growth


Working in collaboration with the SLT you will be required to:



  • Look at existing KPI’s and ascertain suitability going forward, creating new KPI’s to suit the business growth plan
  • Embed yourself within the workforce to find out what works and what doesn’t for employees
  • Be involved in continuous improvement
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports and report information to the SLT and Directors
  • Ensure health and safety is always adhered to by employees, addressing areas of concern
  • Have regular reviews with supervisors and staff
  • Look at potential cost savings and report findings to the Directors proposing potential changes
  • Work with HR to retain and recruit employees
  • Work across both sites to suit business needs


The Operations Manager position is an excellent opportunity for someone with current/previous operational experience, who has managed a workforce, preferably within manufacturing or distribution, to showcase their skillset and be able to work collaboratively with the SLT and Directors.

  • Someone who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and is prepared to help in any areas that the position takes them in
  • Someone who has strong decision-making skills and can clearly communicate instructions

  • Someone who can comfortably present ideas and thoughts to Directors
