Roseate Hotels & Resorts is looking to recruit a Night Managerto join The Roseate Edinburgh, Scotland.

The hotel is a 5 star luxury boutique hotel and partof “Small Luxury Hotels Collection”. The Roseate Edinburgh is located in theheart of Edinburgh, featuring 35 bespoke guest bedrooms and suites, a bar &restaurant, meeting room, lounge, conservatory and private gardens. Refined,relaxed, luxurious and intimate.

TheRole:

TheNight Manager will be responsible in makingsure the hotel’s operation runs smoothly in the absence of senior management.To be fully conversant with all emergency and security procedures within thehotel, and take charge of any situation that may arise. To maintain the higheststandards of service and operational efficiency within all areas ofresponsibility.

The average hours ofemployment are 42 hours (based onpatterns 4 ON 4 OFF 07.45pm until 08.15am 12 hours shift) per week.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

·       Attendingto guests' needs and requirements including check in and check out procedures.

·       Maintainpresentation of key front of house areas

·       Handletelephone enquiries including basic hotel reservations.

·       Processthe Night Audit and the End of Day procedures, so that all transactions areposted and represent a correct record of the daily revenue.

·       Maintaina safe and secure environment for all residents, staff and customers of theHotel during the night.

·       Excellentcustomer service skills.

·       Patrolthe Hotel during the shift to ensure the environment is tidy and adheres to allhealth & safety regulations.

·       Providean accurate handover to returning managers at the end of the shift.

EntryRequirements:

  • Front Office experience within a 4/5* star environment is preferable.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attentiveness, a well-groomed appearance, initiative, loyalty, maturity, respect for confidentiality and discretion, a positive attitude and dependability.
  • Enthusiastic in delivering service excellence.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Has an excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests.
