Macgregor Black are partnering with a Leading Food Manufacturer on the search for an NPD Food Technologist.

This is a permanent hybrid role based in North Yorkshire.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead NPD, EPD, and Own Label projects, supporting the senior leadership team in aligning with business strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of all NPD and EPD briefs, ensuring commercial viability and technical safety.
  • Develop recipes in our lab, meeting COG’s and nutritional targets.
  • Create robust critical paths for every project, ensuring all key actions and dates are communicated effectively.
  • Liaise with manufacturing sites to maintain high product standards and outline key product attributes.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials and ingredients, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate factory trials and product launches, facilitating external customer presentations.
  • Conduct product testing and evaluation, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Global and UK travel as required.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Curiosity and a desire to challenge the status quo.
  • A full driving licence.
