We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Eaton Hall Quarry, near Congleton. This is accessible from Eaton, Congleton, Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent, Buxton, Leek, Northwich, Winsford, Sandbach, Crewe, Stockport and the surrounding areas. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Main ResponsibilitiesThe role of Multi Skilled Operative is part of a key team of Operatives delivering best in class Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance for our Plant operations, as Multi Skilled Operative you will specifically focus on operational tasks including: Working on site and operating machinery, mobile plant and sand processing plant (including loading shovels, dredger and sand dryers) Weighbridge duties Loading shovel (mobile plant) Day to day maintenance of the plant, maintaining the highest levels of housekeeping Training and operation on static plant operations to help drive plant optimisation Working in a team of 15 to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries Ensuring that Plant availability is maximised Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets Maintaining and driving a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety Compliance and awareness Health and Safety measure around the site The Ideal CandidateSuitable candidates for the role Multi Skilled Operative will be able to demonstrate proven experience preferably working within a similar environment or an Industrial or Factory environment as an Operative or Labourer.
