ResponsibilitiesThis role will involve all aspects of trouble shooting, problem solving and project work.

You will be required to look for and implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team.

In addition, you will also be required to plan and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved.

You will be required to assist in all maintenance activities on site.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the mechanical maintenance team ensuring that all plant equipment is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and in a safe order.

You will also be required to adhere to strict health and safety requirements at all times.

* Mechanical maintenance of all plant machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shut downs and project work.

* Ensure that repairs are carried out promptly * Complete reports/paperwork accurately * Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.

* To develop an understanding of machinery operation so that faults can be diagnosed and rectified efficiently.

* To provide good communication to colleagues and production and keep the required logs of maintenance work.

* To always work safely and follow safe systems of work.

The role will include anything mechanical, including Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc and electrical fault finding with electrical automated machineryRequirements * Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications * Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered * Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery * Motivated and driven to succeed * Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and companyIf this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Jane at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
