Permanent, full time contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Purpose of the job - To work with Curriculum Managers to deliver a high-quality Motor Vehicle curriculum including classroom/workshop, theory and practical teaching. 

This role will include pastoral, teaching and assessing that meets with Bath College quality expectations.  


Key Responsibilities


  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with examination requirements.  
  • To deliver up to Level 4 Motor Vehicle standards and programmes using appropriate teaching methods.
  • Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning. 
  • Plan and deliver specialist sessions in acting using appropriate teaching methods whilst embedding the promotion of diversity within the Motor Vehicle industry and the College.
  • To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team. 
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade B or above
  • Qualified to Level 3, or equivalent, in a Motor Vehicle discipline.
  • TAQA Assessor Award (or willing to work towards)
  • L5 Teaching Qualification (or willing to work towards)
