You will ensure that products are built and tested to exacting standards of excellence and the highest possible standard of health safety and sustainability.You will work closely with the engineering drawings and build plans to ensure a right-first time approach; utilising your mechanical and electrical knowledge. The Mechanical / Electrical Fitter will test built machines and use a range of testing equipment including electrical safety testing and GD&T tools.The Mechanical / Electrical Fitter will work on a day’s basis, on-site Monday to Friday with working hours of (Apply online only) Monday to Thursday and (Apply online only) Fridays. You demonstrate a keen commitment to continuous improvement in your work and enjoy working as part of a close-knit and supportive manufacturing unit.The PersonThe successful candidate will possess ideally an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering and proven experience working in a multi-skilled environment, building, assembly and testing high value products preferably yellow goods or comparable products.The Mechanical / Electrical Fitter will have working knowledge of hydraulics and electronics processes and demonstrate excellent hand tool and bench fitting skills.
