Description of role:

Yourgene Health, part of Novacyt Group are recruiting for a Materials Planner. Aim of the role is to support material availability requirements to meet sales demands and key business objectives. To ensure efficient, cost effective, sourcing and scheduling to aid reduction of downtime and wastes in production.


Key areas of responsibility:

  • Aid in the optimisation of stock of key components, and finished goods, ensuring maintained within agreed levels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Generate Purchase Orders to replenish stock
  • Maintain ERP data base with key parameters in relation to production portfolio, supplier lead time , Order acknowledgements, reschedule dates
  • Achieve best cost/quality and compliance at all times
  • Ensure achievable delivery of materials to support production activities, by processing order confirmations, and expediting at regular intervals.
  • Support to release and schedule of work orders to production.
  • Monitor and update schedule dates on ERP system, identifying risks to scheduled plan
  • As required, attend and participate in regular review meetings.
  • Strict adherence to Quality and regulatory specifications, H&S Compliance
  • Ad-hoc support tasks to support on supply chain activities to meet deadlines and priorities
  • Support and promote best practice, continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Co-ordinate and respond to stakeholders queries
  • Assist on production schedule to meet sales demand

Qualifications, desirable but none essential
