Eden Scott are currently supporting our client, a large manufacturing business, to recruit for a Management Accountant to join their busy team in Edinburgh.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity. The role would initially require you to work onsite for the first 3 months, after the 3 months the role will go to a more hybrid approach.
Reporting into the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, as well as monthly P&L reports. The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Accountant, however the organisation are open to candidates who are PQ working towards a qualification, or a QBE candidate with relevant experience within the manufacturing industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Producing monthly management accounts
Dealing with monthly reporting - P&L, variance, budgets and forecasts and presenting this to senior management and directors
Balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
Completion of VAT returns
Improving and implementing financial processes within the business
Mentoring junior members of staff
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Qualified Accountant - open to Part-Qualified working towards qualification, or QBE with manufacturing industry experience
Advanced Excel Skills
Excellent leadership and mentorship skills
Strong attention to detail
Great communication skills
