Our client, based in Surrey , is currently recruiting for a Major Works Surveyor on a Permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary for this role £47,422 rising to £49,437.00 per annum upon completion of probation.

The ideal candidate will have strong Complex Repairs experience and recent Social Housing experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Manage major repairs for the London & Southeast from inception through to completion including diagnosing, specifying, procuring works
Manage planned fencing programme, Structural works over value of £5000, Cavity wall and loft insulation works, Major Aids & Adaptations, Other ad-hoc major works
Undertake contractor administration duties as required including reviewing Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Works, Specifications and all contract documentation, ensuring that these comply with the project brief and timescales, budget estimates, all relevant legislation, health and safety regulations and policies
Effectively manage contractors, carrying out and managing the quality inspection process of works, including pre-start scoping, work in progress quality inspection and post inspection signoffs
Certify contractor valuations and claims within this role’s delegated authority limits, including interim and final account payment

Experience required:
Recent Experience required in Social Housing
Strong Major Works experience
Experience working in Social Housing
Complex repairs experience
