They deliver accredited, industry recognised training, including apprenticeships, up to an advanced level.

As a Group Training Association they have years of experience in working with companies in the engineering, manufacturing, process and related sectors.

We are looking to appoint a Maintenance Training Instructor with a strong electrical background (either Multi skilled, time served electrical or clear demonstratable electrical knowledge).

This is a perfect role for an established and experienced Maintenance professional who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity in training and education to help grow, support, and develop those at their start of their Maintenance and Engineering journey.

The role of a Maintenance Training Instructor is to develop and deliver high quality technical training to apprenticeship students on recognized maintenance programs.

These will be mostly Multi Skilled programs delivering a range of basic technical knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems, techniques and processes.

You will be designing and delivering course materials and supporting students throughout their time to ensure they get the best from the course and are meeting their core objectives and personal goals.

This is a classroom-based role and as such you will be training, teaching and delivering a varied curriculum of multi skilled maintenance skills and techniques.

This will include classroom-based learning, practical, hands-on classes and some blended formats including both.

Some of your key duties will include: * Take responsibility for all learners’ progress and development in your portfolio * Providing academic and pastoral support to learners across their learning to ensure they meet and achieve their goals * Liaise with organization staff to ensure cohesive and structured learning delivery across all platforms * Develop, design and adapt training programs to suit business and curriculum needs in line with Business and curriculum requirementsFor success in this role, you will have a want and desire to enter and/or develop within an education and training environment.

You must be fully time served with a recognized Maintenance qualification or equivalent in a Maintenance field.

You must hold evidence of your academic qualifications.

In addition, relevant experience of a modern manufacturing environment is essential.

This could include: * PLCs and Control Systems * Instrumentation * Robotics * Automated Lines * 3 Phase Motors * Pumps, Pneumatics and Hydraulics * Wiring and Cables * Installs and Commissioning * Inspection and Testing * Refrigeration and Chiller Units * Welding and Fabrication * Tooling * Lathes, Milling, Grinding and Turning * Site Services and Facilities Work * Site Plant EquipmentYou will be delivering training and qualifications to meet apprenticeship standards and as such you must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification.

Whilst higher levels such as HNC, HND or a Degree are highly desirable, this is not essential.

What is key is a real drive and desire to train, grow and develop the talent and Technicians of tomorrow, today.

Additional certifications such as 18th Edition, Inspection and Testing or Domestic Installer courses are well received.

Applications are warmly welcomed from those currently in a Training or Assessment role within Engineering or Maintenance.

Additionally, those with extensive experience in a technical role within the armed forces are encouraged to apply.

You must be a strong communicator and be PC/IT literate.

Any experience within an academic or learning environment is highly desired along with further academic, education or training qualifications.

This would include an Assessor Award and/or Level 3 Teaching qualification (you will be required to gain these within 12 months of commencing if not already held).
